12.11.25: Project Status Update
The iLab project has transitioned to QA validation phase for financial and SSO integration testing. The team has established a revised timeline with go-live pushed to February 20, 2026 to accommodate team availability constraints.
Announcement
UNM Main Campus and HSC are collaborating to transition the current iLab Facilities Management System to an Enterprise Service benefiting both campuses. This implementations iLab will not be integrated into UNM'sBanner Finance systems as well as into UNM directory authentication and authorization sysem.
As of July 1st, 2025 UNM officially begun transitioning to the enterprise level, which includes working with existing core facilities, UNM IT, Main and HSC to begining designing the new environment.
As a result of this transition, core facilities will no longer be responsible for covering the annual iLab subscription fee—this will now be centrally managed as a benefit to all participating cores.
The full directory and financial implementation are expected to be completed by December. At this time, the plan is to begin integrating your core into the new system in October or November, though we will provide more specific timelines as the process progresses. In the meantime, this integration should not affect your normal business and access to ilabs.
Once the existing cores have been successfully migrated into the enterprise environment, new cores will be onboarded.
