Brief Biography

Anmol Singh Gill serves as a Technical Analyst II with the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) IT team at the University of New Mexico. He supports OVPR, FRDO, CASAA and multiple Category III research centers and institutes by delivering reliable, responsive, and research-focused IT services.

Anmol holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico and is ITIL certified, bringing a strong foundation in both technical problem-solving and IT service management best practices. He began his career at UNM as a Student IT Support Specialist, where he gained hands-on experience supporting faculty, staff, and research operations. He has since continued to grow within OVPR IT and has been supporting OVPR and its affiliated research centers for over four years.

In his current role, Anmol works across Tier 1 through Tier 4 support, handling daily IT requests while also contributing to advanced troubleshooting, systems administration, and service escalations in coordination with UNM IT and third-party vendors when required. His areas of support include endpoint and device management, account access, network and connectivity issues, hardware and software troubleshooting, web development, and research-related IT systems.

Anmol is actively involved in managing and maintaining the OVPR IT and CASAA websites. His work also includes web updates, content migrations, accessibility improvements, branding alignment, and the integration of tools such as dashboards, forms, and AI-driven support features to improve usability and service delivery.

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, Anmol contributes to the development of IT standard operating procedures (SOPs), OVPR IT workflows, device lifecycle management, and clear documentation that supports consistent and secure IT practices across OVPR-supported units. He works closely with research administrators, faculty, and staff to translate technical needs into practical, user-friendly solutions that advance UNM’s research mission.
