Brief Biography
Dinh Nguyen joined the Office of the Vice President for Research IT as an Advanced-Level Technical Support Assistant in April 2026. As a sophomore studying Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico, he enjoys tackling technical puzzles and is excited to help the campus research community run smoothly.
He brings a strong foundation in digital systems and hardware configuration, along with a friendly, problem-solving mindset. Dinh also has a strong passion for organizing data effectively, ensuring that systems are efficient and information is easy to find. Whether he is troubleshooting an immediate issue or supporting UNM's specialized research centers, he is always eager to explore new technologies and do his absolute best to improve the team's performance.
Dinh is an audio engineer with a huge passion for music and live event production. You can usually find him working on live sound projects, setting up stages, and troubleshooting audio systems for his church. He genuinely enjoys configuring complex systems and helping the people around him solve technical problems—activities that showcase his careful, detail-oriented nature. He also loves jamming with his guitar and doing sports.
Dinh is fluent in English and Vietnamese, and is currently having a great time learning Spanish.
